Participation at Ankiros 2014

Istanbul, September 2014: KLANN will participate at the foundry equipment fair ANKIROS at stand H2-B120 in Istanbul/Turkey from September 11th to 13th, 2014.


Delivery of sample transport system ore harbour/Australia

Port Hedland, June 2013: With the delivery of a new iron ore sample transport system, based on the since decades approved core sand transport system KLANN entered a new market for bulk transport. The system transports iron ore samples fully automatic from the ship loader to a close by laboratory. By using W-LAN system for data transmission no cable connection is needed between the transport cart and the control system. The system has shown it's reliability and availability within meanwhile one year of 3 shifts operation.


Delivery of anorganic core sand processing and distribution line

Finland, March 2013: KLANN supplied a new core sand processing line working either with powder or liquid based anorganic process materials to use different suppliers. After meanwhile more than one year of operation the customer is working with part of its production with anorganic process.


Participation at GIFA 2011

Düsseldorf, December 2010: KLANN participated succesfully at the foundry equipment fair GIFA in Düsseldorf/Germany in 2011.


Development of new Hot-Box horizontal core shooter

Hagen, December 2009: KLANN developed in cooperation with a well-known fitting manufacturer, based on their core belter technologie a new horizontal core shooter for the hot-box process. Compared to standard horizontal core shooters the new P8 SA has a machine cycle time of only 8 seconds (standard > 15 sec.), a core box change within 5 minutes, an integrated core box pre-heating device and simpler machine cleaning by easy to remove inserts. After first months of operation a 4-times higher productibility by higher core configuration in the core box, lower core box wear by lower shooting pressures and lower setup time were approved. With the new core shooter series KLANN can enlarge it's market leadership in the faucet/fitting industry.


Renewal of core sand processing system at Ideal Standard

Wittlich, October 2009: KLANN was awarded by the faucet manufacturer Ideal Standard to renewal the cores sand processing line and to extend the process for anorganic binder. The core sand mixer system PKM-30 was applied. The new core sand processing line provides 6 core belters for the core production.


Contract from Finnish faucet manufacturer ORAS

Rauma/Finnland, December 2008: The largest Scandinavian faucet manufacturer ORAS, situated in Rauma/Finnland, ordered core sand preparation and distribution units from KLANN for their foundries in Finland and Poland. In the Finnish ORAS foundry the existing core shop will be equipped with a modern sand distribution unit for the 11 existing core shooters. In the Polish foundry a new fully automated core sand preparation unit with PKM mixing including a big-bag discharge will be installed.


Development of new pre-heating station for core boxes

Hagen, Summer 2008: KLANN introduced a new type of pre-heating station for core boxes in Hot-box core shooters for a major fitting manufacturer. In comparison to standard pre-heating stations several core boxes can be heated in less than one hour and are easy to instal in the core shooter. The pre-heating station increases the productivity of core shooters significantly.


Foundry Fair Metal 2007 in Kielce/Poland

Kielce, September 2007: KLANN Anlagentechnik participated at the foundry fair in Kielce in Poland from September 26 - 28. The company joined the polish representative Wichary Technology at their booth. The Kielce fair is one of the most important fairs for foundry technology in Eastern Europe.


Feasibility Study for new Foundry

Hagen, June 2007: KLANN Anlagentechnik and a partner were awarded a contract to carry out a feasibility study for a new foundry for windmill castings in Western Europe.


Participation at GIFA 2007

Düsseldorf, June 2007: With a booth in hall 3 KLANN Anlagentechnik successfully participated in the 11th International Foundry Technology Fair GIFA 2007 in Düsseldorf/Germany from June 12 - 16.


Extension of core shop at Ideal Standard in Germany

Wittlich, June 2007: Ideal Standard, the bathroom equipment supplier, has chosen the reliable KLANN core belter technology for the extension of the core shop at their foundry in Wittlich/Germany. The KLANN 8 litres core belter will supplement the existing Vogel & Schemmann core belters. The core shooter is equipped for the Hot-Box and inorganic binder process. Due to their reliability and short cycle times the KLANN core belters are the most productive core shooters for large volume production.
